About Dr. Neal

Dr. Neal spent his childhood convinced he wanted to be a dentist. One day in college, while shadowing his childhood dentist, Dr. Neal realized dentistry wasn’t for him. That revelation sent him on a path of discovery that culminated in the discovery that optometry was where he belonged.

After finishing his undergraduate degree at Penn State University, Dr. Neal went on to secure a doctorate in optometry from the Pennsylvania College of Optometry in 2006. He then completed a residency for Cornea and Contact Lens training at The Eye Institute in Philadelphia. He worked in ophthalmology with James Lewis, M.D. in Elkins Park and Philadelphia for nearly a decade, serving first as the Chief of Contact Lens Services and later as the Director of Glaucoma.

He formed the Neal Eye Group after joining and then purhasing Dr. Scott Goldberg’s practice in 2014. Every step of the way, Dr. Neal has kept the people he serves foremost in his heart, driven by a need to help his community through superior vision care.
